The ring and divisor reading machine DISAG RM-III Universal was developed by Rudolf Wiedemann to evaluate shooting targets with maximum precision. The patented measurement system still sets the standard for accuracy. By printing the results directly onto the shooting target participants and competition management receive a reliable and unmanipulatable document.

Evaluation of divisors with unmatched precision

When evaluating a shooting champion the one best shot’s precision is the deciding factor. The shot’s divergence from the center of the target, from the bullseye, is measured in so called divisors, one divisor being 1/100 mm. The DISAG RM-III Universal’s precision of divisor evaluation is unmatched and up to the second decimal place.

15 shots per shooting target with all calibers

The DISAG RM-III Universal is also able to electronically evaluate the whole palette of all common shooting sports disciplines using bullseye targets: competitions and serial competitions from 1 up to 120 shots and up to 15 shots on one shooting target. The machine’s ability to read shooting targets up to a size of 26 x 26 cm matches the whole range of available sports weapons: from airguns to small and large calibers.

Muzzleloader shooting sports

Also the shooting sports with muzzleloaders was taken into account: in opposite to all other weapon types the center of the shot is crucial in this particular discipline. The ring line on the shooting target has to be touched by the bullet hole’s center in order to count – in contrast to all other disciplines where the bullet hole’s outer border is relevant.

The patented measurement system

All this is made possible by Rudolf Wiedemann’s patented measurement system. The DISAG RM-III Universal is even able to determine the center of the bullet holes if they are clustered or their edges are torn severely. The outline of the bullet hole is computed based on the predefined caliber: this also makes the comparison of different calibers possible – like in combination disciplines. Anything can be realized: shooting with exotic calibers? No problem, the machine can be manually configured by us accordingly.

How the evaluation of shooting targets works with the DISAG RM-III Universal

First of all the competition settings have to be configured: the total number of shots, the number of shots per shooting target and the caliber. For shooting champion competitions where only the one best shot counts a divisor based rating can be enabled additionally. Also a 1/10 ring rating can be set, for example at mounted airgun finals. A rating of shots in the bullseye itself can be realized too.

After the shooting is finished the targets are simply inserted into the machine, analyzed automatically and the final score printed onto the targets.

Screen and keyboard

The DISAG RM-III Universal can be connected to a screen, mouse and keyboard. By that the machine’s evaluations can be clearly displayed on screen. That gives the opportunity to the contest management to intervene manually because every once in a while shots may be unclear: for example if more than one shot went through a single bullet hole. After the intervention the score is printed onto the shooting target accordingly. With no screen, mouse and keyboard attached such unclear shots are marked with a * on the printed score.

Optical measurement systems display the evaluation immediately after the shot – but a valid and comprehensible evaluation with maximum precision is only possible on the shooting target itself.
